Nicole Borowiec, Clinician/Coach

Nicole Borowiec, M. Ed. earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from Providence College and her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Sport Psychology from Boston University. Her background includes fostering growth and performance development in children, teens, and young adults. She has experience as a behavioral counselor for individuals with autism and supports middle schoolers through a youth program that combines physical and mental strength training. Nicole has also served as a Mental Performance Consultant for multiple NCAA Division III teams, working with student-athletes individually and in groups to build confidence, resilience, and mental skills for performance.

 

With a background in athletics and performance psychology, Nicole understands the pressures of navigating high expectations while preserving well-being. As a former Division I Track & Field athlete, she knows both the unique challenges and deep fulfillment competitive sport can bring. Her experience helps her support athletes managing stress while staying connected to their passion.

 

Nicole is committed to building strong connections with her clients by bringing genuine warmth, curiosity, and empathy to her work. She strives to create a supportive, collaborative environment where clients/athletes can feel seen and empowered to optimize their strengths, overcome challenges, and grow holistically. Using an integrative, person-centered approach informed by Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Nicole meets clients where they are at and provides care focused on individual needs.

 

In her free time, Nicole enjoys exploring Boston through running, trying new recipes, traveling, and spending quality time with friends and family.
