
Margaret Nolan, Clinician/Coach

Margaret Nolan, M.Ed., Clinician/Coach at Riser+Tread earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Toddler Mental Health Studies from Central Connecticut State University, where she was a Division I volleyball student-athlete. She went on to receive her Master's degree in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Children and Adolescents from Boston University.
Margaret's clinical experience spans children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of mental health settings. Her background includes working as a behavioral specialist, supporting children on the autism spectrum, and providing care to individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and other complex mental health concerns. She has worked with clients across a range of levels of care, helping individuals build resilience while navigating life's challenges.
Margaret believes that meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship. She is committed to creating a warm, supportive, and collaborative environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout the therapeutic process. Recognizing that each person's experiences and goals are unique, Margaret takes an integrative approach to treatment, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Coaching to tailor care to each individual's needs while helping the client gain insight into patterns and experiences that influence their emotions, thoughts, and relationships.
In her free time, Margaret enjoys coaching at a local gym, staying active, spending time with friends, and exploring new places around New England.
