Matt is passionate about working with children and adolescents.
Matt has worked with young people for almost 15 years. Working in various public school and hospital program settings, he has extensive experience working with anxiety, depression and other mental health challenges, as well as ASD as a licensed special educator and counselor.
Matt's approach to therapy is integrative. The basics of this style are humanistic (client centered) and psychodynamic. This helps establish trust and a therapeutic alliance. When the eyes and ears are open to the whole person, specific evidence-based therapeutic strategies that have shown to be effective for particular challenges are incorporated, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Interpersonal Psychotherapy.
Matt is an avid Boston sports fan, personal fitness devotee, audio book consumer and lover of travel. Matt also enjoys time with family, especially his wonderful daughter.
