Matt Bloomberg, LCSW
Matt Bloomberg, LCSW received his Bachelors of Social Work and Sociology from Castleton University in Vermont. He then earned his Master of Social Work (MSW) from Simmons University. Matt was a community mental health outpatient clinician for over two years before joining Riser+Tread, has prior training as an ADHD and executive functioning coach, and has serviced clients in both a high-school and day treatment setting.
Matt understands how to overlap Therapy + Coaching, using a clinical style that leans heavily toward Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), along with a blend of Solution-Focused, Narrative, and Motivational Interviewing skills. Matt specializes in treating youth and adults living with ADHD, anxiety, and depression. He’s worked extensively with clients in crisis, and persons with autism spectrum, post-traumatic stress, and substance use disorders. Soft-spoken and sensitive to client needs, Matt believes deeply in the therapeutic relationship serving as a vital building block to positive change. His clinical philosophy is to meet individuals where they are, while also using selective and healthy confrontation as a clinical tool, capable of empowering some of the most transformative experiences in therapy.
Matt treats his time away from work as seriously as he treats his commitment to clients. Like many professionals, he uses this period to recover and replenish through time with friends, family, and physical activity. Matt also uses this time to play with his French BullDog, watch Netflix, and read any literature that can stimulate his curious mind.
