Matt Bloomberg, LICSW received his Bachelor of Social Work and Sociology from Castleton University in Vermont. He then earned his Master of Social Work from Simmons University. Matt was a community outpatient clinician for over two years before joining Riser+Tread. He has prior training as an ADHD and Executive Function coach, along with clinical experience in an elementary, high-school, and day treatment setting.

As the ADHD in 8 Program Director at Riser+Tread, Matt understands how to overlap Therapy + Coaching. His clinical style leans heavily toward Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with blends of Solution-Focused, Narrative, and Motivational Interviewing skills.

Matt specializes in treating youth and adults living with ADHD, anxiety, and depression, and also has experience with crisis intervention, autism, substance use, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Matt believes deeply in the therapeutic relationship as the building block for positive change. His clinical philosophy is to meet individuals wherever they are,  while still using selective healthy confrontation as a clinical tool.

Matt treats his life away from work as seriously as his commitment to clients. He replenishes through time with friends, family, and physical activity. He also spends his off-time watching sports, playing with his French BullDogs, and reading any literature that stimulates his curious mind.
