Christina Payne, LCSW
Christina Payne, LCSW, is a clinician/coach at Riser+Tread with a certificate in Trauma Practice from Simmons University. Prior to joining Riser+Tread, Christina worked as a mental health specialist, providing individual therapy, social skills groups, and parenting trainings. She has had multiple trainings in expressive and artistic therapeutic techniques and loves to incorporate different styles of expression in her sessions.
Christina has worked with children of all ages, incorporating a trauma informed lens and utilizing a plethora of therapeutic and coaching strategies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). She has experience working with addiction, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, social emotional difficulties, self-esteem, PTSD, eating disorders, domestic violence, and distress tolerance. It’s important to Christina that the therapy molds to the client’s experiences, goals, and comfort level. She provides a safe and supportive environment to do exploratory, grounding, and healing work.
In her free time Christina enjoys painting, writing, and reading. On her days off she likes to go for hikes or cuddle up with her cats for a movie.
