Megan O'Rourke, LICSW


Megan O’Rourke, LICSW, earned her Bachelor’s Degree at Clark University and Masters in Social Work at Rhode Island College. 


Prior to joining Riser+Tread, Megan worked as a School Adjustment Counselor in Worcester, Lynn and Fall River Public Schools.  Before entering the public school system Megan worked as a mental health clinician at a private residential school.  Through her work in schools, Megan gained experience working with, ADHD, depression, trauma, Autism and anxiety.  Megan also has experience working in community mental health clinics and private practice settings with children, adolescents and adults.  

Megan focuses on a blend of Therapy + Coaching in her work.  She engages each client from a strengths-based perspective and helps them to develop positive coping strategies to meet their goals. Megan utilizes a combination of therapeutic modalities such as, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution focused therapy and Mindfulness.  She strives to provide a warm, nonjudgmental, and positive environment in which clients can come to work toward self-growth and improvement of their lives. 

Megan is also a former college athlete and has been coaching college soccer for six years.  She enjoys helping athletes develop skills they can utilize on and off the field.
