Kaya Reed is a clinical Psychology student at William James College. She is currently enrolled in the forensic concentration with emphasis on assessment. She earned her Bachelor's in psychology from Rollins College as well as her master's in forensic mental health counseling through Roger Williams University. 

 

Prior to joining the Riser+Tread team as a doctoral intern, Kaya worked at the Bradley School in Rhode Island. Her focus was on the application of de-escalation and therapeutic techniques to aid students from a variety of age groups in their behavioral, emotional, and academic goals. Kaya also has experience conducting cognitive and psychological assessments, particularly within forensic settings. 

 

As a doctoral level intern, Kaya strives to create a safe and supportive environment with each individual client she works with, ensuring that each client, whether through coaching or assessment, feels validated and empowered.
