David Kapolis, LMHC


David A. Kapolis, LMHC received his BA in Psychology and Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Eastern Nazarene College. Starting in 2007 as a peer support specialist for Project Connect and the MSPCC, David has also worked with adolescents in group therapy and safety planning, as well as academic advising and career coaching.


Since completing his Masters program, David has worked with wrap-around services in Boston as an In-Home Therapist for the Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI) for at-risk youth, as well as a family therapist, couple’s therapist, school-based clinician, Substance Abuse counselor, and with children and adults of all ages. David has wide-ranging experience with Mood Disorders, Depression, Anxiety and OCD, Relationship Concerns, Trauma, Learning Disabilities, Grief and Loss as well as performance mindset.


David’s clinical approach utilizes a combination of therapy + coaching, tailored to meet the needs of each individual client. Whether it's processing emotions, providing psychoeducation and support, understanding life stressors or trauma, learning new and practical skills, or providing practical and pragmatic insight, he excels at supporting clients. David believes it's essential be authentic in session, an approach which helps ensure the client keeps an open mind throughout the coaching and counseling process.


David lives in Quincy with his wife, along with their two dogs, three geckos, and three gerbils. He enjoys music, kayaking, writing, antiquing, traveling to NH and Maine, as well as fishing. David is also a professional drummer with over 30 years of experience.
